My mind is running in many directions and I feel like it's time to re-invent my blog, change it or just get going again.  I'm not sure where to begin.  I've got so much running through my mind at the moment.  I'm reading about ways to make a bit of money on a small piece of land with a few farm animals as I really feel it is time to make our dream come true of moving to the country.  I've recently enjoyed a visit to a working goat farm and it only solidified my desire to move and get some baby goats....ducks, chickens, a donkey, a sheep, we shall see what we end up with.

Also, I'm back on the diet which enticed me to start this blog 5 years ago.  I've been trying to kick the sugar and flour habit, learn more, and try once again to heal my body.  I should mention that I got skin cancer last year, a malignant melanoma on my back.  I had a couple very stressful months, a surgery and then the relief that the cancer had not spread to my lymph nodes.  So, that's a section, chapter and story all to it's self.  I've read in many places that cancer feeds on sugar, cancer's favorite food is sugar.  So, I had fallen off the wagon, gained back the weight I lost in 2010 and now have a renewed desire to be healthier.  This time I am doing better at going to the gym but it is a constant struggle.  I'm a work in progress for sure.

Also, I've got my Etsy business up and running.  I finally hit my first goal of 125 vintage items in my Esty shop.  Next goal is to have 300 items in my shop, The Wren's Nest Vintage.
I still have two booths at Lone Elm Antique Mall as well.
I'm learning more and more as I go.  So, I'm trying to decide what to Blog about first and If I should keep it here or make a separate blog for the whole "Junkin' thing."

I don't know if anyone is out there but if one of those thoughts interests you, leave a comment and that's where I'll start.  The creative juices shall start to flow and what direction will this river run?

An all ORANGE lunch

Once in a while, on a rainy summer day, you just have to make a fun lunch for the kids.  Although this idea is probably best for younger kids, I have to say my eleven year old and her friend got a big kick out of it.  When my son was little and learning colors I did this sort of thing more often.

So, the girls wanted Macaroni & Cheese, of course.  I had little cups of peaches, mini carrots, and Cheez-It crackers.  Then, I realized we had a box of Mike & Ike that I could pick out the orange ones and we had Orange Gatorade on hand.  They enjoyed the thematic lunch and it cheered them up since we couldn't go to the pool the last few days, with all this rain.  I can think of a pretty good green lunch and pink, let me know if you have ideas for a blue or purple lunch.
